Ah thanks didn‘t understand in the dialogue its now possible without ilok, and also found the password in a drawer suprisingly.
After reading about on their site and forums, not sure if i should now risk without on my 2nd old hp laptop… adventures of the modern world.

Yes. just pasting the email code that i used for 2018 macbook also for old hp laptop to use without ilok didn‘t work somehow. Had to activate ilok licence there. Anyway it means 2 from 2 activations used. Can be deactivated with mouse right click
(Edit: but only on the to deactivate computer. One has to remember the id name edit uff and long location id, contact support if the computer is trashed, just read now on their hp)
I was aware of the two places but I somehow assumed incorrectly that one of the two couldn’t be an ilok (and certainly not two iloks) and if one was an ilok that would be your allocation spent, it’s quite good. I wish cycling74 were as generous, but at least that key only needs to be seen at launch rather than ever present.
Fwiw in general. Tagging a bit more info here, picked up an adaptor which is supposed to be rated at 5gbps but won’t be able to sustain video throughput. It does at least allow symmetrical insertion of the ilok. Got one of these as the old Mac minis would be too fiddly to access if not extended away from the ports. Less than £5 and seems of decent build quality
