Sound playing while track is muted DIGITONE with ext sequencer

Hello!

I am sequencing my digitone keys with a torso t-1.
the midi thru from my digitone is going to another synthesizer.

If i only want to hear my other synthesizer, my workaround (?) would be to mute the tracks from the digitone. But the problem is, weather I’m muting them or not; the sound is still playing.

Any advice?

I’m not sure but I think mutes are for internal sequencer, you can always mute from the master volume or from the mixer page lowering track volumes… I could be wrong though and there might be a way to use mutes

Can you try sending the mute CC 94 from torso?

nah, that’s still for sequencer, you’re going to need to send volume cc to 0 value. I’ll find the cc, it might be 95

You should be able to mute the MIDI track going to the Digitone on the T-1 without affecting MIDI thru.

Yeah, try cc 95 and set the value to 0 and see if that works, that one controls track level. Hope that will work for you.

The mutes on the DN are just for the internal sequencer.

You will have to set the external synth you want to sequence on a different Midi channel then your 4 DN tracks.
