To be honest, I think SoS deserves to get paid fairly for the good work they do. It’s a good thing that they allow you to buy individual articles if you don’t want to get the full issue and they also make all their content for free after a year or so.
There are some fantastic resources there; search for their “synth secrets” series, for example.
copyright issues and all, it shouldn’t be allowed.
That said, I will never buy SOS. I tried their mag as a limited time promo freebie and never got to see the articles but was hounded by junk mail and instigation to buy the mag.
TBH, it’s just my issue and I would like to read them but since the bait and hook and incident, I will never read the first word. Ironically, if they had followed through with giving that free month they promised me, I would probably be subscribed and reading right now.
