I’m having this issue and i am probably missing something obvious so i thought i’d ask here

I have an external synth connected and i am using the first 2 midi tracks sent to the synth, and then the synth to the AB inputs on the Octatrack.

When the Octatrack trigs are in chromatic mode, i can play along while the sequence is playing, BUT if i stop playback the trigs start fading out until they are silent. The input AB lights are showing that the OT is receiving sound but for some reason it isn’t passing through while the sequencer is stopped. Pressing play instantly restores the sound but i’m sure it didn’t behave like that before, i’m guessing i have some setting set that is interfering but i can’t figure out what it is!

Any thoughts?

I presume you’re using a Thru track. Just set Hold/Release on your Thru track to Infinity, unless you’re using these settings for some kind of sidechaining etc. which you don’t seem to. The Amp envelope opens a gate for the sound to pass through and this gate gets slowly closed when you stop the sequencer.

Thanks for the informative reply! I had a feeling i was overlooking something
