Sound browser while pattern is running

Is this possible somehow:

I have a pattern programmed in Tr1 and now wanna find the right sound for it. Can I somehow skip through my soundbrowser and hear each sound in the list without actively assigning it to the track?

Doesn’t work for me. Perhaps I’m misunderstanding something.

So I got a sound loaded on Track 1 and the sequencer is playing. I double tap the Trk1 button to get into the browser and scrolling up and down I can preview the sound by playing on the keyboard but pressing Function+Yes loads the sound just like only playing yes would.

Only difference is that I’m not leaving the sound browser, is that it?

Yep, it’s just to make life a little easier for those wishing to demo the track sequence/plocks etc, I tend to do as you suggested by just auditioning the sound on the keys

ok, that makes sense. There’s always the no/relead + kit to go back to the “original” sound used for a track.
