Soooo, no way to trigger retrig through midi or cc?

ive been scouring the web for info with not much success(im pretty bad at the web) so i figured a post here is my last resort

No :frowning:

might be the only thing missing on rytm’s midi implementation… so strange

Dang

Seems like it wouldnt be too hard to implement it using the always on setting under the retrig menu to then use note length to trigger it

I think this omission is too obvious, therefore I guess there’s a reason Elektron didn’t implement it.

Will you email Elektron and ask about? Now I’m super curious to hear the reason

I believe no sequencer-related parameters are MIDI-controllable, since retrig is an implementation of the sequencer itself it probably didn’t make sense to have a CC for it.

Got curious though, how did you plan to use it if it existed?

Worth noting that the only Elektron device that does MIDI retrigs, in unique divisions, is the Octatrack®… but you’d have to commit to using it as a sequencer - completely bypassing the sequencer on the AR.

Edit: It is completely worth it doing it this way no matter what.

Im learning maxmsp and working to make a generative midi seq as learning experience and wanted to be able to sequence/automate/randomize retrigs and their divisions, im sure theres another way to get a similar effect tho

Ah! Can’t you just implement retrigs in your sequencer then? It’s just more gates/triggers on a time division, I think it’s the most sensible since you already have the sequencer patch

that would be a nice implementation if they make it … the way i use Retrig it is with triger locks, and then put some probability also with T-locks

i think its a way to do some drum&base… 179 bpm / 64 steps / and sences w/midi
