Sonic Charge Synplant 2

I’ve seen pictures and mentions that there is a dark mode. How do I go about enabling that? Can’t find it anywhere.

I dont think you can enable it with a simple switch, check on soniccharge website in your downloads, there should be a dark skin that you can install

Yeah you can download and install the skin from the website and then change it with the little puzzlepiece button top right of the UI

I’m used to squinting over the overcrowded UIs of software synths, turning virtual knobs and losing interest within minutes due to the lack of a physical ‘connection’. Not so with Synplant 2. Sure, it’s not a monster virtual analogue like DIVA or LuSH-2, but that space in the market is dominated with incredible offerings, and frankly, once you’ve heard the best, the rest just seem like more of of the same. That’s where Synplant 2 comes in - it’s a refreshing, unique twist on synthesis, which places your ears at the centre of the experience.

I really wanted to share my work with Synplant 2 over the last few days - rather than dedicate a thread to it, I thought instead I would refer to it here. This is a collection of 208 patches, created with Genopatch, which were all sampled, and turned into sample chains. I’ve spent the last three days in a dizzy haze, ignoring all the usual things like DIY and socialising… Synplant is such an amazing synth, can’t get enough of it! There’s loads of demos to listen to and download, and the full thing is only £2.99. I hope you enjoy.

I’m surprised the pads sound so good. And the wave demo sounded great too. Hmm…

Honestly, me too! There’s no external effects on those demos either, it’s all Synplant reverb doing the heavy lifting. Really versatile synth!

Polarity does ambient with Synplant 2:

All of SP2’s parameters combined with bitwig’s modulation options seems like a winning combo. Think I might have to pick this one up.

Made a video on Synplant 2, pairing the Genopatch with Boards of Canada and making a full track with Synplant only. It was fun!

would be stoked to see Synplant 2 end up as a hardware collab with Teenage Engineering too :open_mouth:

Yours for only £16,000

TE’s collab’d with SonicCharge on multiple products, including a $99 hot-swappable drum machine/sequencer, the PO-32 (as i’m sure you know).

I think it’s a cool idea to have a hardware version of Synplant 2, with direct sampling via mic, line in and USB. Keyboard for playback, knobs for DNA editing of the synth patch, etc.

would be sweet as an OP-1F engine, though I know that’s unlikely.

I think price comments are tiresome at best and unoriginal at this point , I bet a hardware synplant 2 would actually justify a high price. It’s an amazing release from SonicCharge!

I think they’re hilarious.

oh good

it being an expression of your opinion doesn’t make your joke relevant to the topic.
just take the examples:
PO-32 - $99
PO-35 - $99
CWO Effect - Free firmware update

TE’s collabs with SonicCharge have been very affordable and pack a huge value for money.
I think your joke is lazy, unoriginal and off-topic

and you my friend are seen, loved, and respected… sincerely… you’ve been operating at midnight since 1994… just breathe we’re all a part of the same family that includes crazy uncle Fin
