Here’s an attempt - prompted by @immi to put together a playlist of all the YouTube videos plus all the lists people have contributed as of EDIT 11pm this evening. A bit more complex to put together than I’d hoped but think I’ve just about captured most or all contributions

Possibly the greatest rock and roll bassline in the greatest rock and roll song ever. How this MC5/Stooges crossover never became the biggest band on the planet is a mystery. As ever with music, all about timing and luck

And whilst we’re on the subject of 1970s rock excellence, this pile driving bass line was definitely an obsession when younger
