Ok, then. So who’s using Song Mode, and how are you using it to compose your tracks, also if you’re using more than one Elektron machine at a time, do you have Song Mode active on each machine, or do you tend to have one machine as the Song Mode ‘master’?
I am struggeling with song mode a lot. I think do understand, but it feels far away and i kind of ovoid the process of creating a song with song mode.
A video about this will help, especially a workflow of song mode using 2 elektron instances

Song mode is pretty different on the Analog Rytm.
I’ve composed a lot of songs using the Monomachine’s song mode, and I also had an OT for a short while and I would use both of their song modes (OT’s arranger) in conjunction with one another. Having to move from one box to another was a lil’ difficult at times.
I’m now using an AR and MNM. I typically have each song mode open and build the track up. I wish the AR had offsets/lengths, but I’m trying to figure out other means to do that.
As for how to go about it, just start building your track. Be sure to utilize your mutes and experiment. I’m running the MNM as the master because I’ve used it as my brain for so long, I know that it’s a dependable clock, and also you can do BPM changes via Song Mode (though I rarely do). I really prefer building my songs this way as I don’t have to break the workflow away from my rig. I used to record individual outs and do edits after recording via my DAW, but now I just record song mode via stereo through a stereo compressor and call it a day.
Anyhoo, don’t let song mode scare ya, just like anything, experiment experiment experiment…
