Hello
!
I’m working on a liveset, and sometimes, on some patterns, tracks resets to default value.
For example, I use the 4 toms track to put samples on these slots (while muting analog engine)
everything is fine for a few days, then, randomly, I open the project and these tracks all reset to tom sounds, with AMP, FILTER, SRC, LFO (basically all pages besides trig) to default value.
I don’t lose the pattern, and other tracks of the same kit are fine.
The only way to not lose my work is to parameter lock these tracks
It also did it with analog voices, but less often than the toms/sample tracks.
It happened last month, I thought it was a human error, but now it happened again and I have no idea why !
It’s really annoying because it’s a liveset.
Please help me, it drives me crazy
Thank you so much
Louis
Sorry for your loss. It is a pain.
Save your kit every time you make a change you like.
The Rytm will autosave the most recent kit you worked on when you power off. It will not autosave any others. So, save as you go. Always.
Same with the Four.

Thank you for your kind words !
Like most hardware user, I’m used to losing stuff, but now it becomes to be stressful, epecially because it’s my liveset. The first time it did that, it randomly damaged 30% of my live.
I’ll try to pay more attention but I’m pretty sure I already do this, as I’am constantly saving kits and project. I never ever power off without saving.
I sincerely hope you are right ! That would be awesome if i’s just user error. If you have any other ideas on why it’s doing that, do not hesitate to tell me
I’ll do what you recommend and will update this thread in a month or 2, or if it happens again.
Thank you so much !
Cheers from France,
Louis

Hey,
After working a decent amount of time on my liveset, I discovered many part where the changes of last month were lost, but not reset to default value.
so it is very much likely you were right and my unit is not faulty. I just saved the project thinking it would save the kits, and I was tricked by the memory that is stored in the ram (or something among those lines).
thank you !

Hey.
Thank you
Now I’m constantly saving kits and patterns and projects.
However I still had weird stuff happening. And I figured it out.
it was REC MEM FULL. the problem is, when this message appears, your new P-locks don’t disappears (they are stored in the RAM or something but they disappear at power off)
So I thought the machine wrongly displayed the message (I thought I didn’t have that much P-locks, but they add up quickly, especially if you use performance/scenes, if I understood correctly).
Hence why I had stuff changing values (plus the kits/pattern I was not saving properly).
