Hi, I am new to the forum, and just recently bought an OT.
I have two main questions right now, 1. i have set a basic kick pattern on a track, 4 on the floor, I have a harp on another track that i set 12/16 and its creating a poly rhythm, so all is fine with how i want it to sound, however the master loop is set to 32. So when it reaches 32 steps, it resets obviously, but the 12/16 harp resets as well so the timing gets screwed up and cannot do a consistent loop. It ends up becoming 2 measures of 6/8 which is fine, but then one 4 because it has to reset again when it reaches 32 steps, is there anyway to solve this timing problem that i am having?
Also another quick question, is there anyway i can copy bank 1 to bank 2? it seems that it does not retain the samples and settings when i copy the pattern, i was able to copy track by track to bank 2, but i was wondering if there is any easier way to do this?
Thanks
Hi Ghostdamage,
the timing problem should be solved easily: just set the master-length to infinity (inf).
The Bank-Copy-Question is a harder one. As I remember it, there have been some suggestions how to do it with a computer.

But I do not think you can to it within the OT itself.

Within OT the only way i know is to copy pattern by pattern, and the 4 parts.
Remember to copy manually Parts. I believe, since Banks have their own Parts structure, that when you copy/paste pattern from one bank to another, then Part will not be mantained.
Otherwise, with the computer, just duplicate your, say, Bank1’s files and give the name of the Bank you want the copy to go to.
So, if you want to copy Bank1 to Bank2, erase Bank2’s files and give its name to the copy of Bank1’s files.
Anyway…
I am not a wizard for this kind of things…I tried this maybe one time…so…get your precautions!
Slightly off topic question, but when you guys have the master clock set to inform, how do you change pattern without stopping the transport?
You have to change the menu setting from change at end of pattern to something shorter.
Correct me if I’m wrong , but if I set the master pattern to INF , how would I be able to Change the pattern , I already tried that and it fixes the timing issue , but does not let me change to different patterns instead it just loops the one pattern when it’s set to INF.
im sorry, but i cant seem to find this option. please can you tell em exactly how to access this?
nvm , found it, in USE PAT SET. , thanks!
