Solved : OS upgrade....waiting for sysex

hey
title says it all…my A4 won’t upgrade
I just did a full backup, so connection with c6 is good
but when I try to upgrade it gives the message: OS upgrade…waiting for sysex
I tried different settings in c6: 5,10,15,100,250 delay ticks, SDS settings changed…but no - same result every time!
wut kuud it bee ? any Ideas? mine is still monophonic and i makes me feel old and boring !

A few things to check-
most importantly do you have the receive in the global menu (on the A4) set to USB+Midi?
maybe you have it only set to one or the other?
Also try rechecking that you have the A4 selected in C6 preferences as the device to send to- (not sure what it’s called, I don’t have it open in front of me).

all of that is A ok… but funny enough to dive thru the global Menu
in Midi Port Configuration you have the choice of internal/external keyboard, with a pic of real keys and not pushbutton keys … sorta gave the AK away there

Yeah my settings look like that by default… Except the interface - mine says A4, and I highlight the .syx file, and have tried reloading it, redownloading it…
And i can send the other way with no problems… Hmm confusing

shame - mine wasn’t hooked up, thus spurious in/out - can you at least send a sound file to it, there are plenty to try from Elektron site, or even backups you may have - just to narrow down what the issue is, try another cable and don’t do the upgrade from the early start menu (power + Fn) - puzzling, can you hook it up to a usb sequencer pc/mac to even play it remotely ?! - see if there’s a h/w issue !

I tried using TM-1 going to the midi in port, instead of a straight computer to A4 Usb connection!
Now it works
