Got the Outbox 8… updated my Digitone 2 and Syntakt OSses: neither one is seeing this device, actually they’re not even powering this device (no led light on the unit at all ->> RTFM 
). My iPad and computer both power the unit just fine AND see it (this is actually quite a nice device to have with iPad). Has anyone had this issue? I’ve tried Overbridge mode and the other USB modes as well: no dice. Even tried so that I powered the unit with an USB-power supply and still these devices don’t see the Outbox 8.
Elektron boxes can’t power the Outbox 8, it’s stated in the manual. Have you connected the power usb to the power port and the Elektron box to the data port?

Oh man this was a stupid user error: I actually solved it (the classic: post about something and almost immediately figure it out 
), but thanks anyway. So what I did was: I actually powered this thing via USB from a powered USB-HUB, which I didn’t quite think thru. So basically as this hub is connected to my desktop computer, the said computer “stealed” the connectionbefore any hand shaking could happen in the Elektron device, thus I was not able to see it in any of my Elektron devices So yeah, it really needs to have some psu not connected to anything that can shake hands with the Outbox 8 or the Elektron devices might not see it at all… Live and learn. But thanks anyway for the suggestion.
