So aparently with 1.60 the following should be possible:

But how do I get it to work??
I have Arturia keystep in Midi in, and an external synth in midi out, I can write into the sequencer, but I cannot listen what I play, but it will be played on the next runthrough of sequencer by it.
If I plug the external synth into Midi through instead I can play and hear the synth directly, but whatever I record into the sequencer will not be put out to and played by the synth (quiet obviously…)

I can play the AR engines with the Keystep directly, listen, and also write in the sequencer.
If I use the 12 pads and chromatic mode I can play the external synth and record into the sequencer, all working, but still not with an external keyboard controller.
BUT THIS IS WHAT I WANT

Anybody got this to work?

do you have Midi Config set to send ‘key’ hits on Track Channel aot Auto - also set the keystep to the auto channel -

yes, lots of threads and chat on this if those pointers don’t sort it

All set but still not working.
But suddenly out of despair made new project… NOW IT WORKS!!! weeeeeyyy =D=D=D=D
