My new Birdcord appears to power the 0-Coast, but it only lights up. No sound comes out. Works dine with the original wall-wart power supply.
I am using the Birdcord 15v PD with an Anker PD charger, plus a short USB-C cable to connect them. I am using no other adapters or extension cables.
I have also used the same battery and USB-C cable with a 12V Birdcord PD to successfully power a Digitone.
Any ideas?
I figured it out. The Anker power bank is not PD (Power Delivery), which is required.
The Amazon listing says it’s PD, so I’m sending it back.
So do you need a powerbank that sends power out on the USB C port? the term “PD” is new to me and just seen the new Birdcords…

There are two kinds of Birdcords cords. One uses a regular old USB port.
The new PD ones use USB-C Power Delivery ports, which can deliver much more power. This lets you use power banks that are designed for powering laptops and so on. They’re more than capable of providing enough juice for most of the boxes us musicians use.
The catch is, if you plug the PD Birdcord into a regular non-PD port, it drops back to 5V, as mentioned in the product blurb here:
I ordered what I thought was an Anker PD pack, and the Amazon description mentions PD several times, but it’s not. It lights up the 0-Coast, but apparently there’s not enough power for sound.
