How do you stay motivated?

I really enjoy making music. I’m not particularly talented, I don’t really have any musical ability beyond a good ear, but I enjoy making it. However. Sometimes I just sort of wander, what’s the point… I make so little music that I’m pleased with. I’m very self critical; I think because I enjoy listening to great music so much and have a very good musical memory, so find it hard to compare my unfinished music to stuff that’s out there. And I still - as a 40 year old man - can’t figure out what …
