Slow Dub-Techno track released last week

Hello fellow elektronauts!

The track “Tussmörker” is one of the tracks that came to as an creative outlet during my parental leave. Staying home from work with my 1,5 year old son did give me lots of time to think up musical ideas but little time to execute.
This whole project right now is a lot about restricting myself and creating a workflow that forces me to take creative decisions and stick with them.

It has worked wonders with the inspiration and the digitakt i just got fits just right in this mindset.

Hope you enjoy!

Really really nice! I have listened to it four times in a row ^^

Thank you! =)

I’m getting some lovely vibes reminiscent of taylor dupree / frank bretschneider / richard chartier from Tussmörker, too, and I love it. This is really subtle, detailed, beautiful stuff - I love it!

Thanks for the tip! Really liked Bretschneider at first glance!

I don’t post much here anymore but anything with dub techno always pulls me back in for a listen. Incredible! Not generic dub techno either. This has it’s own vibe and spirit. Really nice work here! Would love to hear more. Also would love to know about your workflow for this track. All Digitakt?

This track was finished this spring when my digitakt was just a piece of kit i was yearning for. That said, first thing i did to get in to the digitakt was to make a version of the track for live play.

This track sprung from the other track on the single, the idea was that every track should have an element from the previous one as a starting point. Never having to start on a blank slate. The other main thing was that all automation were to be performed to audio, closing some options and making fiddling restrictions.

It is however mostly a daw production with a mix of hardware and software instruments and samples.
