Slightly unconventional use of A4

had a dam good time today using the A4 (and its friends) as a signal processor instead of a synth

the track started out its life as as 2 A4 and DX7 drone tracks running through the access virus delay and reverb (which these days i use more than the virus synth itself).

then i set up some very unconventional (in context of my own workflow) routing where the drone tracks and the drum loop are sent back to the A4, using 3 tracks with different filter settings > into the A4 reverb and delay, this then uses 1 output to a future retro XS > which then goes into a vox big ben - which ive recently aquired and absolutely love the tubey overdrive sound it creates.

but what i found cool about this setup was that when the big ben is turned up to max, the oscilators from the XS bleed through even though im not using them. so i used the A4 cv to control them and tune them into the track for dirty background noise.

that is dope granularesque sounding!

Nice!

My most unconventional use was as part of a mastering process, I used the filter+feedback+overdrive to generate rich analog subs for whole mix.
