A silly question, but do you treat the left or the right position of the slider as your base? For example, if you had a filter on the master track would you want the unfiltered sound to be with the slider left or right?
Maybe not every secret is worth revealing…

Lol. I was surprised to see a prominent youtube OT master using right as his base.
I try to catch myself when I feel like I’m developing a preference and switch it up. Maybe it’s the drummer in me, practicing leading w the right and left and hand to hand etc… practicing the variations keeps me flexible
Wait, you can move it to the right too?
This is NSFW.
Can we get a mod in here to lock this thread please?
If you sit on your hand for 5 minutes before you jam it feels like someone else is moving the crossfader. They call it “the stranger”.
Dryer sound on the left generally.

Sumptuous.
Oh… ha!
I was talking about using the crossfader on the OT.
You people are dirty perverts.

Though I suppose a great deal of my crossfader use is perverted and self gratifying, so maybe you’re on to something with this innuendo

…one default for basic muscle menories…
A scenes 1-8 leftfield
B scenes 9-16 rightfield
scene 1 always blank
scene 9 always blank
A / left side always used as fx snapshots…so u can jump in without fading there…
B / right side always used as progressing fx movements…so u can really embrace all sorts of crossfading mutations…
so, the risk to get lost during the ride is reduced…
since anything can become pretty much anything on the ot…
some such basic mind set rules to please and ease the heaps of muscle memory it takes to master the beast, are priceless…
think twice about what’s nice, then meke it a fixed rule and stick to THAT as another fundamental sonic base to lean on…
this way, all twiddle on the fly ideas can find a dedicated place, where u actually can find and use them with growing and ongoing intensions again…
