"Slide Vanish" - Elektron inspired debut album by Eph

I’m happy to finally share Slide Vanish, a project that’s been quietly evolving over the years through live performances and late night jams on Elektron machines. It’s a shape-shifting blend of progressive, melodic structures, and intricate, evolving rhythms. It oscillates between immersive, atmospheric soundscapes and propulsive, dancefloor-driven energy. Beneath the surface, there’s a playful unpredictability—tracks veer into the goofy and absurd before snapping back into moments of IDM precision.

Much of this album was born out of patterns and fragments on Elektron instruments—Analog Rytm, Analog Four, Digitone, Digitakt, and Model Cycles. What started as raw, unpolished sketches on hardware eventually morphed into the nuanced, multi-layered compositions you’ll hear, all shaped within the digital space of Ableton.

nice sounds I especially like the “chiller” tracks Zel, Wizard Sleeve and 0rung, very cool vibe

Thanks for checking it out! Zel was an all digitone track, and 0rung all model:samples before adding some DAW production

haha I recognized the digitone kick instantly

Some nice grooves throughout! Which machines did you use for Orbitym?

Thanks for checking out the album @thewhiskeyace!

Orbitym was 100% composed of Analog Rytm mk1 patterns performed and recorded into Ableton via Overbridge. Later I came back and converted some of the audio into midi and layered some vst instruments, including Generate, Omnisphere, and Diva.

Oddly I’ve never performed that song live because it’s lost in a lonesome project all by itself somewhere on my Rytm. Maybe one day I’ll unearth it to include in a live set.
