Slicing always the same slice

tried yesterday slicing with the octachain perfect. Today something is wrong. In order to test i loaded a chain containing just 4 kicks. Once loaded into a static maschine the 4 green trigs are there i can play them but its always played slice 4 when pressing 1, 2, 3, 4.

I check your ideas but finally i ended up with deleting and new project from scratch. now it seems to work again. One thing which makes me angry is not knowing what the …ot files are. Are they important?

I think to play slices properly you need to also make sure the specific track is setup for it in the SRC menu, 2nd page (double tap the SRC button) and set SLIC to on.

Indeed. Double tap src (playback on Mk1) and set slices to on.
When you want to play them with the trig buttons, press function+down arrow and select slices as your trig mode.

what the …ot files are.

They are files containing TRIM, SLICES and ATTRIBUTES settings.

If you load a sample without assiociated .ot file, you can create one using SAVE SAMPLE SETTINGS in AED > FILE page.

These settings are loaded when you load a sample with its .ot file in the same folder. You can modify these settings, they are kept with the slot settings. Each slot can have different settings You can reload saved settings with AED > FILE > RELOAD SAMPLE (if there is an .ot file).
