Is there a way to slave the Rytm to Ableton so that it starts smoothly when Live’s transport starts?
There is no glitch if I don’t pre delay MIDI clock to Rytm, but to get it in sync I have to pre delay by -65ms, (which seems like a lot to me?)
This pre delay doesn’t seem to kick in until the send beat or so, so the first beat is late and Rytm stutters when transport starts.
yes, the displacing of the first count does not seem to happen on AR nor on A4.
But that’s not the worst part of this- what really pisses me off is that this is not as setting that you ‘set and forget about’…the delay changes every time you start the record, sometimes later, sometimes earlier…pretty shit - seems like the only solution is to fork out £500 on one of those clocking devices…acme or whatever… but it is a fucking clocking device…ffs
This is what I end up doing - when I am recording, I’d first mute everything and record the click track from the AR or A4 into ableton and then unmute after 4 bars or so and deactivate the click…then after the recording is done, I’d use the click to adjust the correct starting point…it is fucking annoying but that’s the only way
