I created a slack team for realtime chatting on elektron stuff. Feel free to join!

If you don’t know what slack is: it’s a really nice team platform with chat and lot’s of stuff. Really commonly used and in some sort of “hype”. Native client available on many platforms and it works really well.

I’m a fan of slack, but there’s already an Elektron IRC channel. Not that many people in there though…

I’m also on IRC but it’s quite oldskool system compared to Slack. To get in and to use it “naturally” you need to be little nerdy Not everyone knows how to join there or how to “keep alive” to see what has been going on. IRC is definely in my heart but it’s not for normal people

there’s a simple webpage to access Elektronauts IRC channel: https://kiwiirc.com/client/irc.esper.net/#elektron just click the link, enter a nickname and off you go, no registration required…which makes it good for those ‘privacy moments’
i’ve never used Slack myself but for what i do in terms of ‘chatting’ with fellow Elektronauts, the IRC channel is good enough…and you don’t really ‘need’ to know more than you need if all you need is chat about something…
