Simple question re: cleaning midi controllers

Hey gang
Selling my old Impulse49 MIDI controller as I just upgreaded, and it’s got some jumpy/glitchy knobs n such. Is this just a job for a gentle touch of compressed air, some light brushing and contact cleaner?
Thanks in advance
a

how long have you been using it for? could simply need some basic cleaning or be the encoders worn out over time and might need to be replaced

a long time. 7 years or so i guess. can’t remember exactly. Gonna try some compressed air and then step up to contact cleaner if necessary.
