Simple question about mute mode

Hi,

I got my rytm one day ago and i have a question regarding the mute button.

I read this in the manual:

The tracks you have muted in this mode stay muted even if the pattern is changed or a new kit is loaded. After
exiting MUTE mode, the LED light atop the [MUTE] key will stay lit, half-bright red, if any of the tracks are muted.
The MUTE mode is a part of the active state of the machine. It is not stored to the current kit or pattern. Mutes
activated in MUTE mode are the master mutes, and they will override any TRIG MUTE patterns on the
sequencer or any SONG MUTE program on any pattern of the active song.

Could you tell me how can I disable the mute mode? It is still half-bright and I can´t disable…

Thanks :)=

Do you mean unmute all muted tracks at once?

" …the [MUTE] key will stay lit, half-bright red, if any of the tracks are muted"

The half-bright red light indicates that at least one track is muted. To “exit” the mute mode just make sure that all tracks are not muted.

Yep, go into mute mode and make sure that all the pads are unmuted. Then when you go into any other mode, the Mute button will now be unlit.

Hi,

Thanks for your answers.

I already went to the mute mode and unmuted the pads but the mute button is still half-bright… seems very easy but couldn´t disable.

To be honest this is my first Elektron machine and I´m still trying to adapt myself.

One more cuestion. When I use Ableton and for example the tempo is 20 bpm in the rytm is between 19.9 and 20.1.

Maybe there are mutes saved in the song/chain you’re on? Do all the unmuted tracks give sound?

The mute light seems to stays active across all patterns and banks not just the active bank and pattern. You may have a muted track on a different pattern in a different bank.
This seems crazy but you will have to check all patterns in all banks until you find the muted track.
I can’t believe it works this way.
Hopefully someone with more knowledge has a better way.

I get the same tempo jumping when the elektrons are connected to each other without the pc involved.
I cant hear any difference in the sound and if the midi timing was really doing that you would hear it. I think it may just be a quirk in the display.

Many thanks for your answers.

I´ll try to to check all patterns in all banks until I find the muted track.

Regarding to the kits, I know how to save one kit in a blank space (function + fx) and then fast saving (yes + fx) but I have a question about this.

How can I change one of the sounds of the kit? I mean, for example, if I´m using a drum and I want to change it for another different drum or even a hat, tom or whatever. Of course without changing the entirely, using the same kit but change only a sound. Of course, I know how to modificate the current sound (track + pad + filter for example)

Should I use the copy paste option from another kit?

Thanks again for your help. I´m really happy with the AR but is taking me a while to adapt.
