Silence Waveform to stop/break loops

Hi there,

just had my first weekend with the OT. Totally genius machine :slight_smile:

Still looking for some workarounds. I am a beginner, so so maybe you have better ideas on that topic, but does anyone use “silence waves” to stop samples playing?

While trying out the OT, it felt easier to add a “silence wave” with Samplelocks, than to adjust the AMP level on each trig.

It also helped me to stop live recorded loops from my Prophet 08 when switching to the next pattern (which should not contain the Prophet-Track).

And: you can liveplay the “silence” in live record mode, to easy break trig that should not play until the next trig.

How do you use Pattern in practice? Maybe you have a better/quicker workaround? (Still relatively new to the different trig-types in practice)

There is an option called “start silent” that should have the same effect when changing patterns - check page 91 of the manual :wink:
