I took the day off from work yesterday and put down this wood decking on my little roof balcony, and got a new table and chairs. Still a work in progress. Gonna put up some mood lighting today, and will be getting rid of all the crappy containers and replacing them with some nicer stuff in the next week or so.

It’s mostly a spot for morning coffees or evening drinks because it’s too hot during the day since there is no easy way to shade the space. For that same reason most plants have not managed to survive there. The plan is to redo the plants with a few larger varieties that I’ve found that can take the hostile environment (olive trees, cactus, etc).

Thanks, man! I came out this morning to have a coffee on the new deck and the universe treated me to a nice sky to start the day.

(Ignore the mess)

Let there be light. Time for a couple of beers.

Sorry for all the deck pics.

(I’m reminded of this amazing New Zealand deck sealant commercial)

Watching the full moon head towards its zenith.

Edit: it seems that the sky here in France has been made hazy and thus the moon made red by the smoke from ongoing wildfires in Canada (!)

The autofocus blurred it a lot and the battery ran out after 20+ minutes but I might try again tonight if the sky remains clear.

Probably safer in the woods than on the streets of SF or Paris. :upside_down_face:
