latest bit inspired by a 10 second sample from :Wunpscut
recorded live using a circuit tracks, a Roland S-1 and T-8
then edited out about 25% that seemed boring.

what is the sample that you used? that bassline is pretty close to ‘backdraft’ by apoptygma berzerk hehe. a bit cheeky, but it’s a really good one.
the individual parts are solid, but the structure/arrangement needs work. the intro (1 minute) is way too long, you could/should make that a bit snappier and bring in the main power of the track much sooner. and it’s a shame that the main drums are only hitting for like 15 seconds right at the end of a 3-minute track. i think it call all use a bit more ‘movement’ and tension.
strong recommendation that you copy the track structure of another wumpscut track or similar. that will make a huge positive difference for yr next track(s).
thanks so much for the feedback. the sample is that driving synth that starts after the intro and is the last thing you hear on the track. I agree the goose stepping drums are really nice I started thinking it was getting too long. the ending seemed rushed on review and over a minute was cut in the edit of the recording. remember this is a live recording bits are turned off and on in by hitting mute buttons and variations in the synths are both knob tweaking and fading things in and out using a mixer.
I took all your recommendations and I’m in the process of programming a tune that’s closer to your insights. I’ll let you know when it’s done by a link here in
