Thanks,
you give me a sweet saturday morning.

Made this for the SP Forums’ 400th beat battle. The source was 15 minutes of super crusty Kazakh or Russian radio broadcasts. Mostly SP404mk2 & Syntakt with some Digitakt in the first part. Loads of extra synths.

Pinging the comb filter with some clicks in Atelier, a drone loop (from a Jameson Nathan Jones soundpack) that I gated and some Pigments pads for Novembeat25 11

Sorry for the crappy iPhone recording. I just unboxed the Pulsar-23 and was excited.

hey guys, just released an album, which i recorded in loopy pro.
i couldn’t finish a single song in the last 2-3 years.
This january, i started playing around with loopy pro and my guitar, then put the recordings together in a daw.
i really liked the process and i have to say im proud of it
i did finish most of the songs which i started.
the album is a mixture of hip-hop, dnb and rock.

i leave the link here: https://linktr.ee/zzlotss (The Comeback)
let me know, what you think.

also - i would like to release a remix version of the album, so if anybody would be interested, hit me up!

I think I might’ve mentioned this somewhere already but I run a small tape label called Cityland, which documents music made by neurodivergent artists, all of whom are part of an alternative art space that I confounded in Portland, OR called Elbow Room. One of the artists and myself have been recording music as Jandyband. This is our first album, which we released almost a year ago. I rarely tell people about it but I was just listening to it the other day and remembering how much I enjoyed the process of making it. I hope at least some of you enjoy listening to it. It’s a wild one!

New release from me, lots of swirling filtered synths and experiments with vocoders.

This a downtempo minor-key jam using the Dreamsequence script on the Norns-shield to sequence eurorack, Ambika, and Shruthi XT. Octatrack and Rytm accompany for drums.

It’s a one-take session recorded directly from the mixer outs, so it’s not the most polished, but I had a lot of fun jamming with it.

Patch notes:
Chords: Just Friends via ii → Three Sisters [cutoff modulated by Triple Sloths]
Seq 1 [bass]: Mangrove via Crow → Ripples (1)
Seq 2 [background weirdness]: Plaits via Crow → Ripples (2) → Matrix Mixer → Beads / Data Bender / Three Sisters → Silhouette modulated by Teletype
Seq 3 [more background arpeggiation]: Ambika via midi
CV harmoniser [plucky melody]: Shruthi XT via midi [CV source = random voltages from Teletype]
Additional modulators: Marbles, Cold Mac, Triple Sloths, Pam’s Pro Workout
Drums: Octatrack & Rytm
Mixer: Mackie 1202VLZ4
FX sends: Big Sky & El Capistan

A co-operative moment between me, the Cocoquantus, Plumbutter, OP1Field, and the slowing down of time. One of those delightful moments where I kind of wasn’t there and things were just allowed to happen.

Recorded on a wintery day last weekend.

Entering the dark season, it’s time to revisit Io.
This is the sequel to ‘Wells of Io’.
Not for the fainthearted.
