A track made purely with synth sounds from the Arturia MiniFreak. What an incredibly versatile synth it is, and so ridiculously easy to integrate into a hybrid workflow!

After my second son was born I have even less time for production I used to have in past. But at least I am trying. Sometimes it’s just a few minutes a day. but it’s still doable to write a track. The process is slow and painful but still enjoyable ;-D

I recently bought a Hologram Electronics Microcosm.

I wanted to try the different effects so I ran a simple Hydrasynth based keys riff through it and recorded a bunch of them while twiddling the knobs (as ya do).

It was just meant to be me messing with it, I wasn’t really thinking it would go anywhere but I liked the sounds so put a simple beat behind it, added some Heat + FX jiggery-pokery to the beat.

I liked it even more so tidied it up in Ableton and just plopped it on soundcloud.
