An initial sketch of this I did last year, when I still had my eurorack. Rebuilt the track two days ago on the Squarp Hapax, Syntakt and A4, with a few other synths doing their respective things. Finally made use of the Streichfett chorus section. Influences might be a little obvious.
Here’s a little 3 tracks ep from me. Songs similar to each other, but yet a little different. I hope with this small release to break my stagnation and release more music next year.
Listening to the album. This is really great. Well paced/placed tracks, really cohesive style and mix throughout that holds the attention. Cool concept too that the tone of the music fits nicely with. People should check this out.
Thank you very much! I picked up the cycles as a distraction while travelled/supporting a love on during a medical trip. I ended up clicking with it far more than I expected and realised what I was coming up with was worthy of focus.
After a year, I finally wrapped it up and at the risk of sounding too prideful, I’m really proud of it.
Now I just need to get my social media/self promotion skills developed so I can get it in front of people (or really their ears).
Thanks again!
The next dnb / whatever track
Drums and bass from the Syntakt, all instrument sounds from the Roland JV-1010, sequenced with the Digitakt. Recorded and processed with the Digitakt.
I started to go back and listen to snippets of music I’ve made this year and organizing them by month. Here’s a sampling of bits from January 2022. My plan is to share one from each month.
Heres the first little jam to see how she runs… DFAM x 2 (one through the Analog Heat), and Grandmother, using the PWM with the LFO synced to the tigger of the master DFAM.
Had the syntakt for a few weeks, but got a bit overwhelmed by all the options and sent it back.
8 Tracks is all I need to be honest.
My chain: Digitakt -> SP-404mk2 (Cassette Sim + Vinyl Sim comp.) -> mastered in Grand Finale
Only as a FX box so far. I know that I could make things much more complex by introducing longer samples on the SP, etc, but to be honest, for me in my current state of music journey, less is more.
