This evening I had few time to spend with my gear. Perfect for Digitakt.
Few time + DT = fun!!!
What an amazing machine! I had no idea or inspiration, only tried to play it on the fly, as a percussive instrument: so much fun!!!

After 4 and a bit years producing I’ve finally put a track up online! Any feedback mix/production-wise is much appreciated

The drums are mostly Ableton and Analog Rytm, the synths are Digitone processed through a small amount of modular and a Roland JV-2080. Hope everyone is well <3

Released this one today. Lots of Analog Keys and Nord Lead in it, also some Analog Rytm.

I want to see this live! Somewhere that looks like they sell cheap beer, not the artisan stuff, and hopefully with cheap beer.

You ask for suggestions so I might add that I would like to get some more meaning from the lyrics… I don’t know if it’s just me, just now, but I didn’t get much other than the soundscape, which is still fine

This is beautiful!!

Hi, I gave my daughter a CD for Christmas with new sleep music that I recorded mainly on the Digitone. Not only suitable for children to fall asleep  Enjoy

When I’ve got the mix refined I’ll do a live recording from the extra bedroom lol and we serve cheap beer there!

As for the lyrics these are pretty much it, this is actually a remix of a pretty popular rock song from the 90’s. Its the Pixies - “Monkey Gone to Heaven”. If it is just that they are hard to hear, that is something I can fix. I know the song well so I might not be noticing if the words are hard to understand. I wouldn’t venture to guess the meaning of the lyrics. I love the Pixie’s unusual lyrics but I can’t say I always know what they mean 100%.

Thanks for listening. I’ll be working on this and will post a video version if I can get around the algorithms on YouTube or Vimeo lol

Much appreciated! The sounds you can get out of the A4 are pretty amazing…

I spent a lot of the year getting to know the machines better, trying to learn some chords, and stick to some sort of structure. I probably failed at not overdoing compression. I’m also not the best editor and typically ditch the album idea for a group of whatever worked out okay during whatever time period. So this is collected recordings from summer and fall of 2020.

this began as just an experiment sequencing the TD3 with the Digitakt…as I worked it turned into something I kinda dug… this is just a rough sketch…forgive the rough edges, it is long winded and needs more variations etc…I haven’t made any music in a year having gotten pretty depressed during lockdown etc. I want to share more to motivate myself to really get back into the swing of things…any thoughts welcome

Digging Fish Tank. I like the swing/groove…that techno kick with those really funky percs is very nice…interesting little pits of synths here and there, they are almost like a suggestion at times rather than a full sound, I like how they evolve. Its probably a little rough around the edges but I think more and more I prefer that. I like the gnarly lead that comes in nearer the end.
