Great stuff
really enjoyed this!
Not my thing, but cool!! Very inspiring video and music. I think these guys are very talented.
Hello everyone — long-time lurker, finally sharing something.
This is a recent hardware-only live set (1h45) from our duo, IK+. The set is built around two Octatracks, kind of B2B live with Soma Pulsar-23, MC-707, DFAM, Typhon and Novation Peak.
Video is raw, but that’s the charm. Styles drift between techno, breaks, jungle.
Curious to hear if any of you have played with 2 Octatrack live and what’s your workflow / setup logic.
Cheers!
me playing my live p.a. set i like to bring on my set to incorporate the human element feel interacting with the machines
Liveset from last Sunday with DN2, AH+FX, Bébe Chérie and Eyesy.
Video recorded with an iphone SE and a very old GoPro from a friend which is kinda gritty. We’ve made the room really dark, actually a bit too dark for myself. I wasn’t able to see the position of the knobs on the mood and almost couldn’t read my cheat sheet(so I ended up not really using the latter). As a result the video is really dark too and I’ve already brightened it up a bit. Had to use some DI’s from the venue to go from bébé chérie to the front of house, but these were off in volume(left-right) quite a bit, so the recording was aswell. Tried to fix this in ableton as much as possible. Performance wise, I wish some transitions would’ve gone a bit smoother and at some point I’ve hit the stop-button on DN2 in a thoughtless moment
, but after that and when the nerves settled down a bit I really enjoyed myself. We had a smallish, but an amazing supportive crowd in a cosy room of a very beatiful venue.
It’s the first time I took the time to edit a video. I’ve tried to make it a bit more interesting to watch by putting some movement in it. Hope this makes it a bit more enjoyable for those who are interested in watching this…
I enjoyed that!
Thanks for responding, really appreciate it and glad you’ve enjoyed it!
Probably too long but whatever
In case anybody’s interested in a M8-only live set
