As a artist i am getting tired of this lazy ass AI generated bs passing as art.
Got to the point when it’s normalized where people think it’s ok.
Also in music…, but that’s another story.
We should do better

Mmm good point.
It’s the first time I had found something AI nice enough, but I see what you see now and witness the laziness in the absence of story indeed.

Worst part is that it’s diminishing his personal art, it’s off putting, and he probably had something interesting to say

What sucks is that I don’t feel like I’m either an artist nor that I have the patience to be one. I also feel like the only reason I currently oppose AI is because of the company it tends to attract - corporate executives, slimy regimes and those who support such. If any ethical issues surrounding AI did not exist, I’d have considered it in a heartbeat. I don’t feel artists’ pain as badly as they do with AI right now.

Came across a childhood favourite record: Trance Europe Express… in particular their third in the series, I had back in the day.
Whole series is for sale on Bandcamp, only thing is … their listings don’t show all the tracks… I’m glad I repurchased the third one because it has like 4 tracks more when you unzip the files (which is what the original cd version had). Mouse on Mars : Mouse Mobile… etc. So many good nostalgic memories. And also… these tunes still rock!

Similarly I found this compilation in a collection I was given. Some right bangers that I hadn’t heard for years on this.

Hmm not letting upload the pic, I’ll try later. (The Sound of the Hoover — Energy Anthems 92-97)

I don’t usually take the bus to and from work, but the one day I did, it happened to be in this weather…

I was at the Udvar-Hazy museum standing next to the Enola Gay and a number of Japanese zeroes. A small crew of elderly Japanese visitors stood nearby and talked among themselves as I took photos. It was heavy.

agree with you on the concept of AI but not in this regard, imho who are we to insult his intelligence by claiming it’s diminishing his personal art, if it is personal art then I don’t think we can make that claim. Saying that he probably had something to say is like him saying you probably had a reason to listen, not sure we can make these claims about one another, just my personal belief that all we can do is have personal beliefs… and that they don’t account for others.

Here’s a notion that I’ve been struggling a bit with lately… the reasons why I don’t like AI is because people will exploit it to disenfranchise other people, there is evidence of this kind of disparity already happening, but then just the other day it hit me (kind of hard)… what technological advancement can I point to that hasn’t been used for the same thing… Even our water filtration systems (in america) have been used for evil purposes… should I boycott water filtration? No…probably not, the real problem is the people, always have been.

If you ever get the chance, I highly recommend the visit of Hiroshima’s museum for peace. It’s humbling.

I did last year when i went to Japan, and i was deeply moved and shed some tears. Definitely unique experience.
I thought coming from a country which experienced war and suffering i was prepared, but this museum changed my perspective

The general area of the Blue Ridge Parkway in North Carolina is nice this time of year.

Yes, and the feeling stays. I too was deeply moved and shed tears more than once.

I think about it when I’m starting thinking violance may be needed.
