One of my gripes with the MD is how difficult it is to design a nice shaker / maracas sound. I know that there is the E12-SH and TRX-MA, however I can’t get either of them to sound good.
Base sound with TRX-MA just sounds like interference!
Has anyone had any joy/luck with this?

Did you try this : MARACAS “PI-MA”, eventually NOISE “GND-NS” (with an lfo as envelope for longer attack).
Maybe a combination of 2 machines > sampling.
Can’t help more, I only used cowbells! 
I think I tried PI-MA already! I also came to the conclusion that I might have to flute around with GND-NS, or just sample something in.
