Sequential Pro-3 or?

i found the Pro 3 a bit much, gorgeous and capable as it is, it made me work too hard and felt it didn’t really excel at anything in particular in the sonic sense. for instance i’d rather have had a third VCO than a wavetable osc with a load of vowel sounds in it. my current rule of thumb is: Sequential for polysynths, Moog (or in my case, Arp) for monosynths.

if i were in the market for a monosynth with patch storage, right now i’d go for a Subsequent 37.

If patch storage is negotiable, the Taiga keyboard might be worth a look.

You’ll miss the sequencer (but hapax) and can expand with FX modules to your own liking (you’ll have about 700 to spend considering the price difference)

Not true in this case. I used my Pro-3 daily for a year and the knobs never loosened. I did the “turn the knobs dozens of times” thing many times as well. Other people have reports similar experiences.
