Sequencing Scenes

Was just watching a video on the Bastl Thyme specifically the sequencing of presets and thought, I wonder if the OT can do this via Scenes.

Some questions…

Can you sequence Scenes in anyway from within the OT? So for example, I have the Fader over on the left side… can I sequence the Scenes assigned to the left side on a per step basis?

I think you can do it in the Arranger… not ideal but maybe this is an option?

I also see in the Midi reference chart that there are values for Midi and scene change but I struggle to read HEX DEC numbers and have no idea how to actually implement them. Eg: in the manual HEX: $37 DEC 55 is Scene A Select… how would I implement that into another Midi sequencer (let’s say a second OT for simplicities sake).

And finally… feature request (I know - it’s unlikely)… add a way to lock a scene via Trigs. Imagine that kind of power!!

In the arranger you can specify the number of steps you want a pattern to play and which scenes are assigned.

So basically you could mimic a scene-per-step i think:

Pattern A1 32 steps scene A=1
Pattern A1 8 steps scene A=9
Pattern A1 24 steps scene A=1

This way you’re having the Pattern A1 switching to scene 9 for half a bar at the 3rd bar and coming back to scene 1 for 1 1/2 bar.

There’s a Midi CC (48 or 68 IIRC, the OT Jedis will tell you) to control cross fader.

With midi loopback it is possible to sequence scenes from a midi track. It works quite well actually! You have to set at least one midi channel for one audio track. If all audio tracks are set to off, it doesn’t work. Makes sense, but easy to miss.

Crossfader is CC48
Select scene A is CC55
Select scene B us CC56

Yep. Once I tried an Exp lfo as midi envelope, assigned to CC48. Worked really well.
