Sequencing Digitakt with Ableton

I’ve been trying to sync up my Digitakt to Ableton with little success. I want to set Ableton as the master and the DT as the slave. The problem is when I pause Ableton from playing start it again, the DT doesn’t reset so it plays from where it stopped.

How do you guys sequence these two? Is there away around this?

The best sort of work around I found is to set the Digitakt as the master, which I don’t really want.

Does it reset when you Stop instead of Pause Ableton Live?

may need to press stop twice in ableton. once to stop once to reset… but just going off top of my head here.

It pauses when I hate the space bar in Ableton, which stops Ableton clips.

Hmmm, Space is supposed to play from the beginning. https://www.ableton.com/en/manual/live-keyboard-shortcuts/

You should set the dt as recieving zero clock from ableton, that way it won’t play when you press play in ableton and you would have to sequence the digitakt via note value in ableton to right?

It works fine now. I had midi and usb connected and I think that didn’t work too well
