Sequencing Ableton with Digitakt via Overbridge

I want to sequence Ableton using the superior Digitakt step sequencer

However, there is about a 50ms delay when I send the MIDI from track 9 to a track on Ableton

Does anyone know if there is a solution other than just adding a -50ms delay to the track?

I have read a few other places that say that sequencing Ableton with the Digitakt just isn’t worth it, but I want to actually use the other 8 tracks on this thing, and I am not going to buy other gear…

I have attached the sync settings for Ableton and the overbridge Audio Unit

Hmm maybe enable sync in Ableton as well, and make sure your DT is sending, not recieving, sync and prferably transport as well.

I tried enabling sync on the digitakt and then using it as an external clock, but then the transport got messed up and I could not pause it either via the DT or ableton. I’ll have another check later.

I was under the impression that the OB plug-in was supposed to synchronise everything, since it has a sync setting and other people have said not to use ableton sync.

I have seen others say that sequencing ableton from the DT is very unreliable, which would suck if true…

I never had any luck sequencing anything when ableton was involved in my life.

One day the model:samples was almost on time with the kick but end of it.
