Embodme is working on a touchpad technology that would function very similarly to the Sensel Morph including the silicone overlays. No word on when this might be available, but it may be a ways off. Whether they would make it usable for musical applications is unknown, but they have other products that are music controllers.
This is besides their EraeTouch and new ERAE II products.

Quick question for any Morph users:
I’m trying to use a Buchla Thunder overlay as a Bluetooth MIDI controller for a TX-6, mainly to map levels, sends, and filters for a more performative mixer workflow. I can get the Morph working perfectly through an iPad running AUM, but I cannot get the TX-6 to see it directly over BLE.
I’ve updated firmware on both devices, put the Morph in pairing mode, set the TX-6 to SCAN, disabled other Bluetooth devices, etc., but the TX-6 just times out.
Has anyone successfully connected a Morph directly to a TX-6 over Bluetooth MIDI? Or over USB, for that matter?
It feels like this should work, but maybe I’m misunderstanding something about how one or both devices handle MIDI.
