Sending MIDI note ARMS Track Recorder? Why?

I have a thru machine with a recorder trig on step 1. This works as expected.

However, I have an Analog Four (connected both ways MIDI IN <-> MIDI OUT with the Octatrack) and when I press a key on the Analog Four, it ARMS the recorder trig!

Why is that?

I can effectively just start playing on the Analog Four at any time, and it will arm and record the next 16 bar loop.

Is this a bug? Why would it arm the recorder trig when I press a key on the Analog Four?

It only seems to happen consistently when I press the left most White key on the Analog Four. It’s as if the sound or the trigger is arming the Octatrack somehow?

It’s as if you haven’t read Annex C of the OT’s manual, which describes how it responds to MIDI notes.

I have definitely read it. But will re-read it right now.

For everyone else confused by this:

C note (60) and C# (61) map to Combo Rec and INAB Rec, so those two keys on the Analog Four were arming the recorders.

Disabling MIDI to just INT on the Analog Four will fix this.
