Seas To Bring

A Machinedrum jam with some field recording, piano and synth. Downtempo, chill, groove ambient.

Nice and subtle, great production

m - this had me up from my studio chair & dancing. gorgeous & hypnotic.

Cheers guys, glad you dig! :joy:

Inspirational track, thanks for posting it up - has the right vibe now that dusk has fallen where I am too!

Out of curiosity, was the Machinedrum used the sequence the whole track or only the rhythmic parts?

Very nice snappy beat…love it

^^ Thanks muchly!

glidepro - MD was only used for the percs/drums. It wasn’t my intention to make a track, just messing around with the MD, then recorded a little jam on it, and some of the sines used on the MD suggested something melodic to me, threw down some piano chords… etc… very much how it usually goes for me, start jamming and things snowball.

Other stuff used:
Piano - Spitfire Felt Piano and Pianoteq
Bass - Trilian
Synth - Kaivo and Geosonics
Strings - Spitfire eDNA
Field recording - the fam
FX - EchoBoy, Permut8, Phoenix reverb, probably a few others that escape me atm.

brilliant, thanks for going into detail there. also curious to know how you integrate your MD into your computer setup, given the software you’ve mentioned. sorry, perhaps I shouldn’t ask someone to reveal their secret sauce!

hey, no worries, not doing anything magic here. :joy:
a quick visual might help:

so, i just record the MD and other hardware into Ableton Live through a mixer. from there it’s in the box and i then record any virtual instruments into the track, arrange, mix and render from Live.
that’s the basics of it… anything else you want to know just ask.
