Scrooge - Wild Semi-modular from Neutral Labs

Had a few quick lays with my newly built Scrooge. When sending midi clock from my TR8-S, and pressing play on the TR8-S, the Scrooge will hiccup then follow clock. This means its sequence is not playing 1st step at the same time as the TR8-S 1st step. It’s staggered. Any way to address that?

Reset Scrooge to first step using FUNC+RUN, reset TR8-S (if that’s possible, I don’t own it), then press play on the TR8-S. It’s kind of a known issue, and should be fixed for good with the upcoming update, so you won’t have to do that in the future.

Thanks. TR8-S doesn’t have a reset as such. When you press stop, next play always starts from step 1.

I did try the func-run as per manual, didn’t help.

That’s weird, AFAIK this workaround would always solve it. Are you on firmware v1.2? Feel free to drop me an email, and maybe we can solve it that way.

Its working normally today. Who knows, maybe Scrooge was grumpy yesterday.

So far I think its a brilliant synth. And thats my take on it. Its a synth. Not a drum machine.

It excels at textural percussion, but not what I would call drums. (But then, I’m a drummer)

Very inspiring little box, I can already see myself starting many tracks with it.

Yes, I think it may have been the piece of code that checks whether the current day of the month is a prime number, and messes up the sync if it is. You should be good for the rest of February now, and most days after that!

Well thank you! Glad you feel inspired by it.

Not my own work. This Fallout branded case was built by professional prop maker roscofatty for his personal use.

Love this side of DIY culture!
