Just received my unit a few days ago, but I I have a problem with my screen that comes out slightly from the case and is not properly depressed.
I contacted the support who asked me to press the corners of the screen to solve the problem, it worked in some places but I still have a corner that comes out a little⊠They told me to sending my unit back.
So I will return to the dealer to have another unit. Never had this problem on my OG Digitakt or on my Digitone.
I sometimes have the lines too, but it doesnât really bother me visually. What Iâm interested in is if it will get worse over time or not. If its just a visual thing and not a functional error, I couldnât care less to be honest. Is this known from the Syntakt screens?
Had the exact same issue with my first 2 Octatracks, 3rd one was fine. Itâs because the faceplate has developed a slight curve during manufacturing.

Just underlining that Elektron is handling these issues pretty well, just write to support and you will have your screen replaced in no time.
Is there any info on what batches are good/bad ? mine is 2024-w16
Iâm fairly sure that there have been messages from support to say itâs not possible to predict from serial number if the screen is likely to fail, so I would expect that means that batch number is also not a useful predictor.
Unless thereâs a batch number after which it definitely wonât happen , of course.

Mine doesnât have that issue. I just purchased it last week, and Iâve had it on over night for a few nights now. It is labelled 2024-W28.
For people having send it to elektron for repair. Did you have to make a complete backup before?
regardless, do backup before sending the unit anywhere, it can be damaged in shipping so save your work no matter the reason of shipping.
How could they know that ?
By understanding the problem and moving to parts that are not affected.
Apparently these problems have been around for years, if Elektron knew how to detect faulty screens⊠there would be no more problem. Right ?
