What an unpleasant thing to imagine. Spending all that money on a new one, lose a ton of money on the resale of your original, only to then have the screen fail and be forced to send it in and wait a month for repair, then several months later find that they replaced the screen with one from the same batch of problematic parts because it fails again…
Not sure what kind of cost cutting measure justifies this but it’s understandable why people complain that elektron quality control has been on the decline.
Someone else yesterday in another related thread said their replacement screen failed as well. Not an isolated incident, just something which is manifesting with time, apparently.
I believe I’ve seen numerous reports of DN2 impacted as well.
