I have been listening to all 12 tracks selected for the Science Lab. They are really nice and I am amazed with all types of sounds I hear. They are all taken out of the sample? Amazing!
I can’t talk for the Octa or MD, but on the AR it’s really simple. You can specify the start and end points for your sample, so you set both the start and end points at the same number (eg. START 30, END 30). Make sure you set it to loop too. Then it sort of ‘freezes’ the sample to that single waveform, which you can then pitch for melodies etc.
This takes a bit of experimentation to freeze the right part of a sample to get a good sound.
You can also get lower sounds by making the waveform wider like START 30, END 31
