Science Lab Challenge, February 2015

Thanks for the playlist! Makes it far easier to get an overview.

Dear Elektronauts!

I finally swept trough all the posted tracks. There is so much quality up here.
This science lab was a blast! Bravo and respect to every single one of you!

Iā€™m happy to be an Elektronaut and a humble rat in this science lab.

The winner will definitely deserve to choose a machine.

:+1: :+1:

REALLY cool! so much variation thereā€¦
btw mine is not in the list:

or should i set it too public first?

Yeah, thanks for the effort! Must have been a daunting task.
Cheers!

Thanks a lot!

Hi elektrofunk. Please edit the settings of the tune in your soundcloud. It is somehow not playlist enabled. That goes for many posted soundcloud tunes in this thread.

I made the first submission private and tried to resubmit as I was still on time.
New, slightly less muddy, public version:

Made on the AR (had it less than a month, loved it straight out of the box

hey mikkel_zen, Iā€™ve changed it too public, did this solve the playlist problem?

I did not quite make it to the deadline and I did not finish the track. However I wanted to post and show the result of what I did. This was my first time composing something with the Octatrack (my only Elektron machine) and I learned a whole lot. I liked how I managed to get a ā€œrobot vocal voiceā€ by using the comb filter.

It was great experience for learning OT, here is my result https://soundcloud.com/shougan/ot-shougan-bou

Yes elektrofunk. That did it. Cool track.

Talented elektronauts all around.

Thanks and Thanks

For those interested, hereā€™s a sound example of how you can create a kick from the vocal sample on the AR progressing through the parameter pages from left to right:

I noticed something like that too. U mean when two sounds just about choke each other and u get a distorted accent or something like that?[/quote]
Some extra funkiness, yeah - at first I forgot I was using choke groups and wondered what the heck was going on with my samples!

One can get pretty cool evolving patterns once you combine it with uneven track lengths and muting/unmuting tracks. Love it.

my entry  (previously sent to fredrikalm )
and recorded full sysex of the machine

Damn I spaced on time, so the time for submissions has already passed?! I worked so hard on this, if its too late Iā€™m glad I at least learned a ton of valuable techniques

Hi phaelam.

The playlist has nothing to do with the elektron administration.

I just, at first, started making this playlist for my own personal interest of listening to the tracks without using all my brain capacity on searching and scrolling this thread while listening.

The playlist is not complete. There is still a lot of tracks missing. It is just a collection of the tracks linked from soundcloud in this thread. If the tracks are made ā€œpublicā€ I can add them to the playlist. If they are ā€œprivateā€, wich many of the posted tracks are, they canā€™t be added to the playlist.

So, to all of you who donā€™t find your track on the list, and yet want it there, edit the tracks settings in soundcloud from privare to public, re-post it here or message me the link and Iā€™ll add it.

To make the playlist is simply my pleasure and I am glad you enjoy it.

I also missed itā€¦ too short in combination with work ā€¦anyway ā€¦ i was amazed how big the potential of a single speech-sample was.
