Hold Down [Scene A] button, press [Step 01]. Scene A is now using Scene 1
Hold Down [Scene B] button, press [Step 09]. Scene B is now using Scene 9
Select [Track 01] which as you have said is a thru Machine, processing inputs A/B
On the [Playback] page, ensure that the [INAB] parameter is set to [A B]
Press the [Rec] button, and add a playback trig on [Step 01] to ensure you can hear the incoming audio on the thru machine.
Whislt Holding down the [Scene B] button, tweak parameters to taste.
Whilst the [Crossfader] is to the left [Scene A] you should hear the normal audio, and when to the right [Scene B], you should hear the processed audio with the scene settings.
