Once again, an extremely basic question from me. How do I save patches, kits, patterns, tracks that I have made? What is the difference between the soundpool and a kit? Im totally lost on saving and recalling patches on this machine. Thanks!
This question has been asked many times cuz’ a lot of people don’t understand the Elektron architecture for saving.
Anyway, You just need to understand that :
-The +Drive is where are saved all of your patches.
-The sound pool is a place where you put your patches so the A4 can access pretty fast.
ex: Put several patches on your soundpool and you are able to play them on just one track (which requires 1 voice! very useful for drum parts) You can save many sounds at a time by entering in the sound manager where you can select some songs by pressing yes (filters are accessible by pressing the “left” button) and press the “right” button to copy them to the sound pool.
-A patch (sound) can be saved in the soundpool, in the +Drive and in a kit
-A kit contains parameters of your 4 patches (on the 4 tracks), FX page (and cv ?) You can save it by pressing Yes/save+kit (be careful to don’t overwrite the older kit if you want to keep it: press fonction+kit, then save on an other state)
-A pattern is ALWAYS linked to a kit Yes/save+Pattern to save it.
-Finally you can save the project entierely by pressing Fonction+Global then, access to the project menu and save =) .
Do U need more explanations?
