Saving individual step as new sound?

Sorry for the newbie question …

If I p-lock a step and like the new sound, can I save that altered sound as a new sound for later recall in other kits?

No, is my answer.
You should copy that step to a new track then you should unlock the parameter and repeat those values.
It’s not the quickest way, though…if there’s any quicker?

indeed ! -or, in Grid mode Save + Trig seems redundant/inuitive !
okay it’ll show a soundlock for now, but they could change that and you don’t save soundlocks anyways !
